Creating a website for a magazine is a sophisticated work, moreover when the themes in it are related to topics such as defence and security. In the Connections the Quarterly Journal the articles are published in English and Russian.
The Biblicite module of Drupal provides classification of the articles by volumes, issue and year. It is also possible to enrich the publication with keywords, set the magazine name, and add the corresponding contributors (authors). All this works in a sophisticated system allowing the reader to obtain a high quality digital magazine.
The articles are available in PDF, and some of them readable as full text in the browser. In addition the latter are organized by themes, related to the issue to which they belong. Aside one sees the articles from the same issue. The order of the articles is based on their pagination.
The Web application is based on personal responsive design. Technical advantages such as searching by title, author, keywords were implemented. Articles are organized by the number of views and downloads. In overall it is a complex project in which we were able to migrate the data from Drupal 7 to 10 retaining the URLs.
